Created in 2002, UA Cares is the University's giving campaign providing employees the opportunity to support the community. Since inception, Wildcats have raised over $5,270,000 for families and communities.

President, University of Arizona

I am proud to serve as the 2018 UA Cares Honorary Chair. The campaign offers a great opportunity to share my personal commitment and the commitment of the university in supporting our local community through charitable giving and volunteerism.

I've heard about the wonderful fundraising activities like the annual Chorizo Breakfast hosted by the Budget Office and the Chili Cook-Off hosted by Facilities Management for 15 years. Not only do these and many other events provide the means to help others, they provide a climate of goodwill, and they bring excitement and awareness to the campus during the annual UA Cares campaign. I'm looking forward to experiencing some of them firsthand, and I encourage all university employees, departments and units to participate. The campaign kicks off October 1, 2018.

Please think about what matters most to you and give what you can. All UA employees are invited to donate to University programs through the UA Foundation, United Way Impact Area(s), or any 501c3 non-profit organization of your choice through the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona. Considering the challenging economic times we face, supporting our community is important now more than ever.

Gifts to UA Cares can be made through UAccess or by submitting a paper pledge form. Every donation helps, and every supporter is appreciated. Thank you in advance for helping make UA Cares a success.
